Boss Holdings, Inc. Expands Boss Pet Products, Inc. with Acquisition of Coast 2 Coast Wholesale Pet Products

June 26, 2017, Kewanee, Illinois – Boss Holdings, Inc. (Pink Sheets: BSHI) (“Boss” or the “Company”) announced today that its subsidiary, Boss Pet Products, Inc. (“Boss Pet”), has purchased the pet product distribution business and related assets of Coast 2 Coast Wholesale Pet Products, located in Garden Grove, CA. (“Coast 2 Coast”). Coast 2 Coast markets pet products including toys, treats, harnesses, collars, food bowls and other related pet product accessories to the Pet Specialty market.

Kurt Hansen of Coast 2 Coast will become Boss Pet’s National Sales Manager and will direct all sales in the Pet Specialty market segment. Acquired assets include Coast 2 Coast’s inventory, selected equipment, trademarks, tradenames and other intellectual property. Boss funded the purchase from its existing working capital.

Boss management believes the Coast 2 Coast line of top OEM branded pet products presents a significant opportunity for growth. Boss Pet already sells its pet leashes, restraints, toys and other pet product supplies in distribution channels not served by Coast 2 Coast, and the acquisition will provide cross-selling opportunities. Boss Pet operational offices are located in the Cleveland, Ohio metropolitan area. Boss Pet will retain Coast 2 Coast’s sales and customer support staff. Management expects the Coast 2 Coast acquisition will be immediately accretive to Boss net earnings.

Two Trophies in One Day

Last week, Boss Manufacturing attended the 2017 IDC-USA Product Forum in Reno, NV. The week began with the annual IDC Charitable Trust Golf Tournament at Lakeridge Golf Course. Proceeds from the event go to furthering education in young adults. There were approximately 25 foursomes to participate in the event. Bryan Kubiak from Boss and his team finished 5 under par to clinch 1st Place awards consisting of a trophy, a dry fit polo shirt, and a dozen golf balls!

A supplier trade show was scheduled following the golf tournament. At the show there were 44 preferred suppliers in attendance, each having their own booth displays. Also attending were sixty IDC owner-distributors. They walked the show floor and were asked to vote on both vendor booth appearance and product presentation in which Boss won the 2017 Best Booth Award!

Boss® Lends a Hand in OSHA Training

In October, Stinger Certified Safety of Oklahoma City held an OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training for construction workers, foremen, project managers, job site superintendents, and anyone else in the construction industry. This one-day, 10-hour course teaches workers general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site and is required by some states and/or employers.

During the class, Boss products were used to help demonstrate proper safety and the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the construction industry.
Boss would like to thank Rene Soto, owner at Stinger Certified Safety, for featuring our 1JM770 and also for introducing Boss Gloves to all 300 students.
